How do we justify such a large initial capital expense just to meet our packaging needs, when we have other critical areas of operation on which to focus?
We at JIT understand the financial constraints that buying plastic containers can put on a company, and we believe our container and pallet pooling systems are just the answer. With our container and pallet leasing programs, JIT assumes the responsibility of purchasing, tracking, maintaining, and storing your containers and pallets for you, thereby freeing up your business’ cash flow to be utilized in other areas of operation.
Once the container pooling system is implemented, how will JIT maintain, track, return, and repair our containers efficiently, in order to ensure continuous availability for use?
JIT will monitor the locations of each container on a daily basis to make sure no container stays in one place for more than a mutually agreed allowable time. We will also maintain as much as 3 months of dedicated container inventory in the system to ensure you have containers when you need them on a max 12 hour lead time. Each container is scanned when leaving our facility using hand scanners or RFID, whichever application fits best, to insure we know where all containers are at all times.
What if I sign new accounts and need more containers. Do my costs go up?
No. You can add as many containers that you deem justifiable to your supply chain during the life of your service agreement with JIT, and the per-use payment will never go up. This saves you from the incremental packaging expense that accompanies signing new accounts that require plastic bulk boxes or pallets. It will also save you from worrying about container prices that fluctuate with rising fuel costs.
Where would you store any excess, empty containers?
We store all of your containers at the JIT warehouse that is closest to your facility to ensure you get the exact number of containers you need exactly when you need them. Our pooling and JIT delivery system frees up floor space for our customer, ultimately creating production efficiencies and increasing employee safety at our customer facilities. |
